Anti-Terror Laws and Moral Equivalency
This post from the Washington Monthly, while perhaps not saying anything new, is a very nice summarization of all the problems with how "terrorism" is defined in the United States.
I like what T said in our conversation last weekend - that Law enforcement officers are watching too much '24' think your average criminal or average normal citizen could be a terrorist against whom any tactic is justified...and therefore Boston transit authority need to carry automatic assault rifles (true story).
If you aren't always watching it, it is easy to overlook what 10 years of Propaganda can do to a person.
